If you are anything like I used to be, you thought “protein” meant healthy and you should grab the bar with the highest protein and call it a day. Oh, how I wish I knew what I know now! Most protein bars and bars in general are full of sugar, sucralose, highly processed and full of preservatives.
It took me awhile to find a bar that I approve of. I searched and searched for ones that 1. Had clean ingredients and 2. Tasted good! so I wanted to share the ones that I always keep in my pantry. There is one more that I approve of and that is SquareOrganics bars. I am out of them because they are SO SO yummy!
- RXBars: I love these because there are minimal ingredients and the ingredients are clean for a bar. There are only 2 dates, as opposed to 20 grams of sugar in other bars from dates. The chocolate sea salt flavor is also a staple in our house.
- Perfect Bars: Full of healthy fats and just plain delicious. These need to be refrigerated, but they are so filling and gluten free. They have several flavors and the ones that I have tried are all amazing.
- GoMacro: I love the sunflower butter one as well. Their story started because one of the owner’s was diagnosed with breast cancer, so of course I love supporting ordinary people who just want to share better health with others.
These are also fabulous snacks to grab when you have to travel. Whenever I go out of town, I make sure I have a few of these because when I wake up I am hungry as soon as my feet hit the floor!
